Weekly Reflection #2

This week was the most work we’ve had to do so far. A lot of things went wrong, but there were also some things that went our way. I knew it was going to be a tough week because we had to work on the jewelry boxes, which are very complicated in terms of measurements and angles and such. We spent a lot of extra hours on some days trying to get work done because we know we are short on time. I know that I have to finish the drawers this upcoming week which is going to be a pain because there are so many different techniques and different cuts I have to do in order to make the drawers fit into the box. Our plan for the rest of senior project is to finish the three jewelry boxes and then mass produce about 15 or maybe 20 more cutting boards. We want to sell more cutting boards because we sold our first batch in less than 5 minutes. After we sold all of them, we realized that the cutting boards are going to be our best way to make profit. We can also do engravings this time, because spencer emailed us telling us about the machine they have in the tech department. This machine can engrave any design onto a flat object. We could use this to charge people extra in order to make better profit. I thought we could come up with a design for a company logo that we could engrave onto every object that we make. However, we need to focus on the jewelry boxes for this upcoming week. We have a lot to do with a short amount of time, so we have to grind out the jewelry boxes this week, or we will be screwed.
